It’s been a little while since I concocted the Tiffany Blue Cosmopolitan (as in somewhere between 6 and 8 months), but it somehow got buried behind a million other little things in my mind and never made it to the blog. Luckily, I was scrolling through old pictures on the computer to delete some of the excess when, lo and behold, this drink popped up and I realized I still hadn’t posted it! It’s beautiful, it’s tasty, it’s fun, it’s easy, and I’m sorry. Truly sorry.
I made the Tiffany Blue Cosmopolitan for a Tiffany’s-themed event my friends were throwing, but I can really see it being great for weddings, bridal showers, and girls’ nights. Who wouldn’t be impressed by that blue hue and slight twist on the classic Cosmopolitan flavor?
For weeks after the Tiffany-themed event, everyone kept thanking me for the “Tiffanytinis”, a title someone must have thought up after sipping a few that caught on. Yes, I know they’re not technically martinis, you know they’re not technically martinis, but what fun is it getting all caught up in technicality anyway? The point is, they were good. So good that I may or may not have indulged in quite a few of the specially-colored Cosmos myself… and by may or may not have, I mean I did, of course.
- 3 oz vodka
- 1 oz blue curacao
- 5 oz white cranberry juice
- Squeeze of fresh lemon juice
- Mix all of the ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Strain into martini glasses and serve.
